It also makes the appropriate nods to the Mustang's heritage while staying current with the latest technology features. Among todays muscle cars, the Mustang is hard to beat.
The Mustang GT is impressively quick thanks to its gutsy V8. The brakes are also fittingly firm, giving you plenty of confidence to brake hard. In Edmunds testing, the GT covered 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and stopped from 60 mph in 118 feet.
You will be comfortable for hours in the Mustang, which is quite a feat considering how performance-focused this car is. The seats offer great support and the cabin is fairly quiet. The V8 sounds great, which is precisely what you will want to hear.
The climate controls are front and center, and well-placed vents evenly distribute cooled air for front passengers. The ventilated seats are quick to cool you down on hot days and keep you comfy on long drives
Muscle cars dont exactly scream high-tech, but the Mustang gets high marks for the availability of newer features. Fords Sync interface has top-notch voice controls, an 8-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto smartphone integration.
The Mustang GT, even without any performance options, is a hoot to drive. It is stable and fast, yet you can also make it a tail-sliding hooligan machine if you want to. The available active exhaust adds an amazing sound to the car and encourages you to drive it hard. It is capable of raucous performance yet it's also a pleasant daily driver. That means it can fit your personality or mood on the fly.
We think the GT is the way to go. If you are going to get a Mustang, you might as well get the one with twice the cylinders and a lot more power than the base EcoBoost model. It also offers improved handling and braking, and it is available with lots of comfort and tech features.

2024 Mustang GT base model is a bargain!

Purchased brand new Dec. 2024. It was a special order for a customer that finally couldn't wait any longer. Their loss my gain! Was the Vapor Blue I was in love with, had active exhaust and 10 speed auto . Would have liked and ordered the upgraded stereo but 6 speakers is fine especially since I enjoy listening to the 5.0 coyote better. The ride is very smooth and comfortable for a 4000 lb pony car. The 4th gen coyote is quite the upgrade from the previous gen 5.0 in My 19 F-150 but is comparing apples to oranges. Main 13.2 screen is a bit slow loading but very visable even in the bright Az sun. My 4th Mustang, first car in 1974 was a 65 Mustang. I am a bit biased being from Michigan and a lifelong ford man, except late 70s thru the early 20s when I was a import car guy. I am ecstatic with the purchase of my 2024 Mustang GT premium. It’s even better than I dreamed it would be with the six speed manual transmission. Owning a Mustang GT was a bucket list item and I can happily say I have now checked out off my list! - 5.0

Technology is a major change in this model. Center screen and all its functions puts everything at close reach of the driver. Purists may balk at this but it’s nice and configurable. Driving these Mustangs is a pleasurable and exhilarating experience! Weather it’s a bare bones, muscle car or a plush cruiser with plenty of creature comforts the Mustang S650 is a fantastic automobile and is a great value. The curb appeal of any Mustang is Second, to none! iconic and and an American original that is admired and loved.
